Since our launch in 1935, No7 has been rewriting history with the aim of helping women look and feel their best every day. We are committed to representing real women and will never artificially alter any of the images that we use in our advertising to represent a false reality of what women should look like. This means, no airbrushing, no Photoshopping, just real, inspiring, strong, courageous women.

At No7, what matters to you matters to us. Championing these causes is an important part of what we do. It’s not easy, and change often does not happen overnight, but we are constantly looking for smarter, more environmentally friendly packaging options and more sustainably sourced ingredients. We are also dedicated to supporting initiatives that help to make people’s lives better through charitable partnerships, that matter to our customers.

And this is just the start. The beauty industry is constantly evolving, as are we. We are committed to leading industry innovations, striving for change, to making an impact on this world for the better. This is our No7 promise.

Some do. Customers should check the ingredient listing looking for alcohol or denatured ethanol on the ingredient listing.

Lead and Nickel are elements that occur naturally in the earth. Trace amounts of Lead and Nickel may occur in the foods we eat and the water we drink. The unintended presence of small quantities of each of these element may also occur in cosmetics via impurities in natural or synthetic ingredients, the manufacturing process, storage or migration from packaging. This is technically unavoidable even in good manufacturing practice.

Regulatory authorities such as the US FDA and the EU have set safe allowable limits for the levels of Lead that can be present in cosmetics.

WBA limit the levels of Lead and Nickel in our products to meet these regulatory limits and in some instances to be well below the limits set.

All raw ingredients are approved and legal for cosmetics use and all products have been assessed by safety experts to ensure they’re safe and suitable for their intended application.

Parabens are among the most widely used preservatives and have been safely used over many years. They are used in a wide range of cosmetics and toiletries, as well as pharmaceuticals. Preservatives are essential in safeguarding the quality and safety of cosmetic products. Without them, bacteria, "germs" and other harmful organisms could develop in products leading to product deterioration and serious safety issues. Without preservatives, many cosmetic products would quickly deteriorate or spoil after opening and would be unsafe for our customers while they are being used.

There have been a number of stories circulating in the media regarding the safety of parabens. In these stories the parabens tend to be grouped together without the distinction being made between short-chain and long-chain. The European Commission Scientific Committee on consumer safety (SCCS) has reviewed the safety of parabens and concluded those used in No7 to be safe at the levels we use them.

Our ingredients are sourced from known suppliers across the globe. All suppliers are audited by Boots to ensure they meet legal and company requirements. This includes our standards for sustainable sourcing of ingredients such as those derived from palm oil and natural products.
